Neshoba County General Hospital-Nursing Home X-Ray Technologist 1st shift in Philadelphia, Mississippi
Neshoba General Hospital is currently seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our dynamic radiology department. The X-Ray Technologist will play a crucial role in performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures for our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and be in good standing with the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH).
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Operate x-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for interpretation by radiologists and physicians.
- Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Demonstrate good communication and computer skills for effective interaction with patients, healthcare team members, and electronic medical record systems.
- Provide professional phone support and assistance to patients and healthcare staff.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience throughout the imaging process.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of imaging equipment and supplies.
- Ability to cross-train and perform CT (computed tomography) scans as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT certification in Radiography.
- Valid Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) license in Radiologic Technology.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Professional phone skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries and scheduling.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Willingness to cross-train and become proficient in CT (computed tomography) scanning techniques.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not required.
