Robert Half Accounting Manager in Petersburg, Virginia

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Credit Clerk based in Petersburg, Virginia. This role is within the financial industry, specifically dealing with full charge bookkeeping. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. Additionally, you will monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure they are accurate

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts for any irregularities or issues

• Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments from customers

• Prepare and present weekly cash position to higher management

• Assist in the preparation of entry level journal entries

• Maintain and reconcile petty cash and office supply inventory

• Ensure the secure delivery of checks to the post office

• Enter cash payments and confirm delivery of payments to the bank

• Issue and reconcile stamp balance

• Categorize and add online Trust/Operations transfers in banking

• Prepare end of month closeout verifications and reports for Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Collections, Accounting, and Payroll.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with Billing Functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
