The Role

We are currently seeking for an APAC HSE Manager role, based in Perth.

This is a high-impact role, responsible for overseeing and enhancing the HSE performance of our APAC portfolio of commercial offices, with a focus on energy, resources, mining, oil & gas sectors.

A typical day will involve:

  • Developing and managing HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and the specific needs of a client account.

  • Directing activities of personnel engaged in HSE programs - ensuring plans, playbooks, and procedures are current, complete, and effectively implemented.

  • Monitoring health and safety and environmental regulatory compliance, communicating findings and ensuring corrective measures are implemented.

  • Developing strategic solutions to support management's efforts to improve and maintain compliance.

  • Serve as an HSE Subject Matter Expert, providing counsel to management on HSE compliance, trends, and performance.

  • Manage interactions with government agencies, professional HSE groups, and internal safety activities.

  • Lead and support staff in recruitment, training, development, and performance management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related HSE experience

  • Direct experience interacting with regulatory agencies and a working knowledge of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Experience within the manufacturing, construction, and/or facility maintenance and management is preferred

  • Exceptional ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents, and make persuasive presentations on complex topics.

  • Proven ability to motivate, negotiate, and influence.

  • In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions.
