Bentley Systems Account Manager (Mining) in Perth, Australia

We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join Seequent, the Bentley Subsurface Company. We are looking for someone to work from our Seequent office in Perth, Australia.

The Role

As an Account Manager, your role will be focused on the APAC Mining accounts who are using Seequent software for geological modelling, analysis, visualization and decision making. We are continuing to experience rapid growth in our Mining Segment in recent years and there are now a significant number of sizeable accounts in the APAC region. Seequent’s portfolio of products is also growing, through development and acquisition. To realise the growth in existing accounts the business requires dedicated commercial / account management focus.

The goal of this role is to enable the region to meet its strategic objective of sustainable, long-term sales growth. You will be working closely with the Sales Director, Mining to define a strategy in the accounts with the aim to further ingrain our solutions and uncover and progress other opportunities. Day to day you are guiding the sale of software seats, training and engaging with internal technical experts and advisors to maximise an account’s potential.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Account Management

  • Work with the Sales Director, Mining to ensure the sales activities lead to the achievement of company growth and profitability

  • Stay abreast of all activity associated with your assigned accounts. Understand who to engage with in the greater business to further opportunities that may arise

  • Understand our customers technical problems, client needs, and set meetings with appropriate Seequent team members to further these opportunities

  • Manage and lead the negotiation and closing of business to business and sales contracts

  • Be a CRM champion by keeping information accurate records

  • Participate and lead monthly sales and annual target forecasting of your assigned accounts

  • Conduct regular reporting to clients of their software usage

  • Lead quarterly client catch up meeting with your assigned accounts

Pipeline & Lead Generation

  • Understand and quantify potential opportunities associated with our current accounts

  • Ensuring that all opportunities are well documented and identified in the CRM for forecasting

  • Collaborate with the Sales Director, Mining and Customer Solutions Specialists/Technical Leads to accurately assess all opportunities in the pipeline and prioritise appropriately

Product and Domain Knowledge

  • Through training or existing knowledge, develop a fundamental understanding of the software products and be aware of the benefits and value statements

  • Learn from the customer regarding how, what, where and why they are using our product and then feeding back that information to the appropriate teams within the business and recording this within the CRM

  • High level knowledge of the value proposition of Seequent mining solutions

In order to be successful in this role, you should have

  • 5+ years sales experience (Software and/or Geosciences).

  • Demonstrated capability with enterprise sales and solution selling.

  • Strategic account management and negotiation – having the ability to set a strategy through robust account planning and executing this plan by engaging with relevant stakeholders across your managed accounts and greater Seequent to achieve value.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, decision making and prioritization skills.

  • Have exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

  • Highly motivated, with an ability to work independently and prioritize your work.

  • roactive approach – identifying ways to improve processes, take opportunities to learn when presented.
