Summary

The Director of Human Resources will direct the Prepared Foods Retail Operations’ HR functions located in Perdue Prepared Food’s Perry, GA, Gainesville, GA, and Concord, NC plants. The incumbent will ensure required compliance in all areas, develops HR staff, and provides necessary support to facilities via staffing, training and leadership to achieve required results. This individual will act as the HR Business Partner for the Vice-president of Retail Operation. The position will be based in Perry, GA and will report to the Vice President of Human Resources, Premium Prepared Foods. This position can expect to travel up to 40% to other plants as needed.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing HR input to Operations and Support Department management for planning, budgeting, goal-setting and strategic plan implementation.

  • Builds and maintains a strong management team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building and succession planning.

  • Ensures Company and business segment profitability goals are met by overseeing implementation of the strategic plan.

  • Oversees and coordinates all HR activities for assigned customer base. Ensures compliance to Company policies and procedures. Implements new ideas/concepts to advance HR practices. Ensures process control mechanisms are in place and audited to ensure compliance.

  • Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and local laws including EEO, ADA, OSHA, etc.

  • Takes a leadership role in creating the environment which fosters change, and be a leader in change management.

Minimum Education and Education

MBA or MS/MA degree is preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline plus a minimum of 12-15 years of related work experience is required.
