[The Maintenance Operator is responsible for achieving objectives laid down by the Maintenance and Safety Manager. This position requires near perfect attendance and punctuality. Employees are expected to be in their department area before the shift starts. Reasonable overtime hours may be required to meet department needs.This position reports directly to the Maintenance and Safety Manager.

• Tracks and conducts preventive maintenance on company equipment; troubleshoots and repairs, when necessary.
• Operates forklift, manlift, and other heavy equipment, as needed to complete maintenance activities.
• Follows all safety guidelines and reports violations, accidents and near misses to supervisor.
• Follows instructions given by supervisor.
• Responsible for housekeeping in designated work area and throughout the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics.
• Capable of learning and performing advanced mechanical skills.
• Ability to accurately and timely complete maintenance documentation.
• Ability to properly use various hand tools.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to follow company safety procedures and processes.
• Must qualify to operate fork truck, fall protection, and manlift.
• Successfully complete OSHA 10 certification.
• Valid drivers license is required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of mechanic/millwright experience in manufacturing or service industry. Completed vocational education may substitute for experience.
