As a Senior Sales Support Consultant, you'll be at the heart of our business strategy, driving success and innovation. Imagine yourself monitoring the pulse of the business, identifying key trends, and generating impactful recommendations that shape both immediate actions and long-term goals.

What you will do:

• Consulting with the Caterpillar Job Site Solutions commercial and operations teams to identify and support opportunities, including dealer collaboration, data-based territory analysis, and lead generation.

• Governing engagement initiatives with our dealers to secure stakeholder alignment, identify target customers, and identify new sales opportunities.

• Leading the development of a territory analysis tool using sales, industry, and market data that help identify new prospects for long-term fleet management contracts.

• Leading development of financial analysis tools using operational data to help dealers increase profitability and forecast financial benefits of growing the Caterpillar Job Site Solutions portfolio.

What skills you will have:

Customer Focus: Extensive experience working with Dealers in sales, marketing, operations, finance, and/or product support.

Business Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization. Knowledge of project management methodology and tools to manage tasks and drive action towards timelines within the organization and dealers.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, or Tucson, AZ.

Domestic relocation assistance is available.

This position may require 10 – 20 % travel.

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
