In this role you will lead and execute Global Parts Pricing (GPP) major price change system and Parts Pricing compliance related processes. You will also partner with Caterpillar IT to support the Parts Pricing Information and Distribution System (PPIDS) and Parts Pricing Publication website (PPUBS) legacy pricing systems.

What you will do:

  • Plans and executes Global Parts Pricing major price change tasks required to create dealer price file publications. Responsibilities include timeline management, simulation monitoring, data validation, and overall system execution

  • Supports and completes repeating compliance processes such as price change audits, SOX audits, approval processes, PPI reviews, and system access management

  • Maintains policy, guideline and procedural documentation applicable to responsible areas

  • Proactively manages troubleshooting investigative efforts, grief resolution and communications relating to legacy system disruptions and abends, batch maintenance uploads and process failures

  • Owns PPUBS group mailbox and responds promptly to dealer inquiries

  • Leads the collection of major price change business requirements for the new parts pricing system, working with Caterpillar IT and GPP team members

  • Develops and executes test plans with supporting documentation to accompany system changes and enhancements

  • Provides ongoing analyst and leadership training, onboarding and support across all pricing systems

What you will have:

  • Education/Experience: 4+ years of job-related experience, Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, marketing, related fields preferred

  • Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations with high attention to detail and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Ability to remain agile and flexible with a positive attitude.

  • Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

  • Task management: Willingness to work independently to prioritize and execute tasks with a sense of urgency. Maintain organized standard work and documentation of results.

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Prior experience in a project management or pricing analyst role or equivalent level job in an accounting, finance or related field

  • Knowledge of various Caterpillar products, product applications and business systems

  • Experience working in the aftermarket, using aftermarket parts data, Caterpillar IT and related processes

  • Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • SAS and SQL programming skills

  • Working knowledge of PPIDS
