Job Summary:

The Digital Product Senior Manager will drive development of the Product Cost Thread, an initiative to capture supplier commodity details to enable the following for Caterpillar:

• Optimize cost with better data in negotiations, prescriptive claw back opportunities, etc.​

• Process efficiency including semi-automated contractual commodity and other type of adjustments​

• Insightful forecasting based on simulation that can be broken down and forecasted by commodity​

• Enable improved hedging and other corporate processes

What You Will Do:

• Lead prioritization of issues, enhancements, new features. Monitor and report on PCT progress.

• Execute with data/technology/analytics team and process leads to develop and deploy new features and new releases on schedule.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to position and promote PCT.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably a technical degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.

• Employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting agreement.

Digital Change Request Management:

• Demonstrates in-depth experience managing product change requests from all sources.

• Contributes to best practices for effective change request management processes.

• Collaborates with internal groups and providers to formalize linkages for request processing.

Digital Product Business Knowledge:

• Drives functional enhancements and anticipates new opportunities and needs.

• Considers feedback from current and potential users, analysts and users of competitive products.

• Defines and communicates product strategy, vision and functional roadmap.

Digital Product Management:

• Leads multiple products or multiple releases of a critical product.

• Manages conflicts between business unit teams.

• Steers gathering, summarizing and prioritizing ideas for new products, or new versions of existing products.

Digital Product Technical Knowledge:

• Expert on technical and infrastructure components of the digital product.

• Collects, documents and maintains product configuration requirements and instances.

• Drives recommendations and documentation on technical issues

Additional Information

The location for this position is Mossville, IL.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

This position will require less than 10% travel.
