U.S. Marine Corps Telecommunication Specialist in Pentagon, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION. Responsibilities You will coordinate with technical specialist and managers at lower echelon to resolve disputes on vendor performance. You will investigate technical specifications, equipment configuration, installations plans, and other similar data to identify sources of service problems that deviate from standard procedures. You will manage, define, and participate in the telecommunications changes management procedures and policies to ensure the integrity of the documentation and the network management system. You will develop acquisition plans, input statements of work, technical specifications, requirements definitions, project plans, and proposals related to telecommunications requirements and solutions. You will follow procedures to initiate arrangements for service and repair of telecommunication services. You will monitor vendor performance for adherence to contract requirements. You will develop technical strategies for major long-term communications acquisition projects. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing acquisition plans, statements of work, project plans and proposals related to telecommunications requirements and solutions; 2) Developing telecommunications strategies to meet organizational requirements/needs; 3) Resolving disputes/issues on telecommunication services; and 4) Making decisions or recommendations to significantly change, interpret, or develop telecommunication policies or programs.
