Job Su mmary and Qualifications

The Senior Accountant II will assist the department manager in maintaining the general ledger system and other accounting/financial responsibilities. As well as help mentor the accounting personnel below them.

  • Maintain facility Contracts performing cost analysis on new agreements as well as the necessity for renewals. Input into PAWS contract system and maintain the new facility Contract Sharepoint site

  • Maintain fixed asset accounting system to ensure records are completed timely and accurately.

  • Maintain contract labor usage log by reviewing Healthtrust Wokforce Solutions (formerly All About Staffing) hours in Kronos and other non-AAS agency time sheets, reconcile to actual billing, and record accrual at mo-end.

  • Completes CER packets, fixed asset input, disposals, and completes depreciation on all capital and fixed assets at mo-end.

  • Maintain facility and division contracts performing due diligence research on new contracts submitted by department heads before bringing to CFO weekly.

  • Support the day to day activity of the accounting department, especially in the area of general ledger.

  • Perform responsibilities timely, accurately and efficiently to produce reliable financial statements by management's deadlines. Acquire understanding of each general ledger account and computer system to ensure that hospital/departmental policies are being enforced.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
