This position is an on-site Occupational Health RN for Cytiva and is responsible for maintaining an autonomous nursing practice focused on the promotion, protection and restoration of associates health by utilizing the standard domains of occupational health nursing within the context of a safe and healthy manufacturing and non-manufacturing environment as well as following the nursing practice standards of the State of Florida.

This position is part of the Environmental Health and Safety Department in Pensacola, FL and will be an on-site position. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you’ll do :

  • Provides healthcare services directly to Cytiva Associates according to scope of practice for State license and Standard of Work (SOW). Administer first aid treatment to injured or ill associates. Monitor, treat and provide follow-up on work-incurred injuries and to assess and evaluate potential work-incurred injuries. Provide non-emergency care to Cytiva Associates according to Standing orders/protocols.

  • Case management of occupational and non-occupational cases along with Bi-weekly reporting on status of occupational related to member of OH Global team. Maintains working knowledge of OSHA Recordkeeping, Workers Compensation, Case Management, ADA, FMLA, STD and LTD.

  • Coordinates/communicates with supervisors, managers, EHS manager and human resources, worker’s compensation examiner, and authorized external medical providers to ensure proper medical treatment of injured associate.

  • Administers and coordinates the medical surveillance program including hearing conservation, respiratory, vision, etc. Maintains current and accurate medical records for each associate in EMR. Performs components of physical exams which may include: Vital signs, blood sugar, height, and weight

  • Supports the administration of Workers Compensation benefits program and familiarity with workers’ compensation case management.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE, AACN or ACEN College or University that was fully accredited at time of enrollment and graduation.

  • Unencumbered required licenses: State of Florida Registered Nurse License

  • Unencumbered required certifications: BLS Certification and First Aid/CPR/AED Healthcare Provider Certification

  • Five or more years experience in occupational health nursing, employee health nursing, school nursing, emergency room nursing, and/or ICU nursing.

  • Proficient in injury assessments, vital signs, and use of office medical equipment

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • EMR, Cority

  • Certification as an occupational hearing conservationist

  • OSHA knowledge
