Job Summary and Qualifications
This position will assist the Director Risk Management in implementation of all aspects of the Risk Management program including the identification of opportunities to improve patient care; compliance of the facility with regulations/standards; participating in the daily operations with the Risk Management staff; providing assistance in monitoring, coordinating and planning a Risk Management Program, which includes the industrial hygiene and safety management program; which includes assisting in the preparation, recording, trending and maintenance of all documentation that supports and defines organizational-wide Risk Management processes, plans and policies. The Risk Manager will act as the Risk Director’s representative in carrying out Risk Management activities in the absence of the Director, Risk Management.
What you will do in this role:
Exhibits responsibility and accountability for assigned work, works independently.
Must balance multiple tasks/projects while meeting organizational standards.
Must be extremely detail oriented and able to follow through on all assigned tasks.
Uses various software programs to develop, generate and update documentation.
Provides research findings pertaining to Risk/Safety programs.
Assists the Director Risk Management in the implementation of the Risk Management Program.
Participates in the development, review and revision of patient care and hospital policies and procedures
Assists in the orientation of new employees to the Internal Risk Management Program and Safety Program.
Assists in the planning, developing and presenting educational programs on Risk Management and Safety issues.
Assists in conducting the annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the Risk Management Program.
Assists in all state and federal surveys.
Assists with Risk Initiative projects both Division and Corporate.
Prepares the annual report to the Agency for Healthcare Administration
What qualifications you will need:
Certified Professional Patient Safety (CPPS) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
