The DBSL is a hands on and facilitative leader accountable for process improvements yielding bottom-line productivity and capable of driving large plant and wing to wing value stream transformations for the Pensacola site. This role also acts in Planner/Buyer capacity to support development of standard work for the department and support the site/volume growth on the critical product families. This role also leads the deployment of Danaher Materials System across the site.

This position is based on site, Pensacola, FL with minimal travel. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Inventory Management and Planning: Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory. Utilize lean principles such as kanban systems and demand-driven replenishment to improve inventory turns and reduce carrying costs. Develop Planning and Materials Management standard work.

  • Procurement: Execute procurement activities including purchasing, negotiation, and contracting with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials at the best possible cost. Implement lean procurement practices to streamline processes and eliminate waste in the supply chain.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery performance. Collaborate with suppliers to implement lean initiatives and drive mutual benefits.

  • Continuous Improvement: Provide overall DBS leadership and simplification to key areas of our Operations, and responsible for strategy development of site DBS transformation. Will own site Kaizen funnel and sustainment process, CP funnel, value stream maps, and support site Hoshin Kanri/PD initiatives.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and track progress towards improvement goals – the goal is to improve on-time delivery (OTD) to our customers. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for further optimization. Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Science, Technology, Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering) or Business degree and 3 years of related manufacturing or materials related experience.

  • Understanding of Operations and/or Supply Chain Management

  • Strong knowledge of Materials and Plant Operations related Lean DBS tools

  • Experience coordinating / leading cross functional teams

  • Teaches and coaches Lean leadership principles and behaviors including servant leadership, problem solving, and daily management routines including the use of visual management.

  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and procedures, ISO9000 and other regulatory requirements and how they impact manufacturing.
