THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services, Bureau of Human Services Licensing is seeking a Human Services Licensing Representative to conduct inspections and investigations of community service providers in the Southeastern Region. This position comes with a high degree of independence and discretion, as assigned and in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures to determine compliance. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of the Office of the Office of Developmental Programs, Bureau of Community Services, you will conduct inspections for the purpose of enforcing state laws and regulations governing the licensing of community service providers to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of c ommunity homes, family living homes, adult training facilities, and vocational facility clients. Some duties of the position include conducting inspections of facilities to ensure regulations are being met, conducting investigations, identifying violations, and reviewing these violations with the facility staff. In addition, you will provide technical assistance to community service providers, county ID programs, and the general public by explaining regulations and licensure requirements governing ID programs. You will travel in the Southeast Region (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute (12:00 PM to 12:30 PM) lunch.

  • This position is home headquartered. Your office is based from your home unless you are in the field.

  • Travel: You will be required to travel to the Southeast Region, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
