Field Service Technician/Mechanic

Job Description

The company specializes in custom fabricating a wide array of products, including railings, duct work, catwalks/crossovers, and stainless steel countertops and sinks. The successful candidates will enjoy working on a diverse range of day-to-day projects and will travel throughout NJ to provide maintenance services to a variety of clients, including those in manufacturing, food processing, and healthcare sectors, refineries, and plants.

Hard Skills

• Experience in industrial and/or institutional mechanical maintenance

• Proficient with various tools (wrenches, drills, core drills)

• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and technical specifications

• Experience in field welding, pipe fitting, and equipment alignment

• Familiarity with rigging

• Knowledge of Sanitary Welding or orbital welding (TIG, MIG, STICK) – welding constitutes 20% of the job

• Experience with duct work, ventilation systems, and fencing (chain link, ornamental)

• Skilled in working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

Work Environment

1st Shift: flexible around 6a-2:30p, Monday to Friday. Overtime is sometimes required based on client needs.
