The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Specialist, Performance and Availability Engineer in Pennington, NJ, to install, manage, maintain, and run moderately complex performance products as part of an end-to-end visibility strategy in various domains. Execute complex performance tests and coordinate the reporting of results. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Programming, Engineering (any), or a related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Six (6) years of experience must include: Utilizing technologies in the enterprise systems including Java/J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, Kafka and Cloud/Microservices; Conducting Full stack development of a near real-time analytics platform by pulling data from multiple financial systems data sources of Kafka, Splunk, Oracle, MS SQL, Postgres and Web Service; Performing Data analysis and visualizations using Tableau for operational and business requirements and collecting data from interfaces, including Oracle, Kafka, Kudu, and File Systems; Using AppDynamics on Linux platform to identify performance issues and isolate root causes of multi-threaded distributed financial systems; Reviewing the configurations settings of the database systems of financial systems and applications using Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL, Postgres and NoSQL; Supporting and maintaining existing functionalities and on-boarding new functionalities for performance monitoring applications; Integrating core and advanced concepts in data analytics and machine learning techniques within the financial services systems during the audit process using machine learning tools; Building, deploying, and maintaining critical applications on private cloud infrastructure Virtual Machine using Docker and Gitlab; and Utilizing CAST products to scan applications source code and fix critical and non-critical violations.
