How do we make an impact?

Our team supports the Customer Channels Group by offering on-site services to improve supply chain and research operations.

What will you do?

• Make on-site program replenishments and disbursements. Perform stockroom duties, including receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.

• Follow well-defined Best Practices, SOPs & work instructions. Take direction from Manager (and Team Lead where appropriate) regarding daily duties.

• Work within computer systems to access and follow procedures as outlined by our written procedures.

• Proactively connect with supervisor any customer concerns and/or potential problems.

• Listen to customer concerns and effectively address issues with a goal of resolution within established dedication times.

• Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations, professionally and positively.

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements (Thermo Fisher and Customer).

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Experience:

• Experience in logistics operations and warehousing is helpful.

• 0-1 Year experience in attention to detail, problem-solving, and working in a team environment, preferably within a laboratory setting or services.

• Validated customer service skills with proven verbal and written skills.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Possess a strong desire to serve the customer and the interpersonal skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel at the customer site.

• Demonstrate computer proficiency and possess basic skills in Microsoft Office suite of software. Use organizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates as needed.

• Depending on the area of the building, personal protective equipment may be worn, including lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets, safety gloves, and safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, bump hats, and/or safety glasses.

• Must be capable of consistently lifting, pushing, and pulling 30-40 pounds. May occasionally need to lift up to 50 pounds using equipment like pushcarts, pallet jacks, or forklifts.

• May be required to work independently at a customer location.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $19.64–$29.45.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
