Senior Manager Manufacturing

Location: Pearl River, New York

About the Job

This position is for a Senior Manufacturing Manager at the Sanofi Site in Pearl River, New York. This role will focus on the manufacturing of Flublok (recombinant influenza vaccine) Drug Substance. The role will support aspects of the manufacturing process including; solution prep, cell culture and protein production. On a daily basis the manager will lead and manage a dedicated team of 4 to 8 full time manufacturing operators. The manager will establish and communicate daily priorities to the team, ensuring alignment and achievement of production goals. The manager will also ensure all manufacturing areas are in a state of audit readiness and proactively address and resolve any potential issues. The manager will be accountable for ensuring all manufacturing targets are met while emphasizing Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

Main Responsibilities

  • The Senior Manager, Manufacturing provides leadership to the drug substance manufacturing team at the Sanofi Pearl River Site.

  • In this role, the Manager directs, plans and oversees manufacturing operations while ensuring safety, compliance and manufacturing targets.

  • The Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring their team of 5-7 people meets or exceeds all manufacturing performance targets while maintaining an atmosphere of safety, compliance and accountability.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS from an accredited institution in Science, Business or related field

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.

  • Minimum 5 years experience managing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or MBA from an accredited institution

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt

  • Experience utilizing daily capacity management (DCM) or similar tool to manage team

  • Experience implementing or utilizing Lean/Six Sigma Tools

The salary range for this position is $105,750.00 to $141,000.00 USD Annually. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
