U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSER in Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Hawaii
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will assist in the collection, consolidation, containerization, transportation, storage, shipment and recordkeeping of solid and hazardous waste (e.g., acids, caustics, paints, solvents, PCB'S, asbestos, pesticides). You will assist in the inspections of solid and hazardous waste containers for structural integrity and proper identification and markings. You will receive and review incoming Custody Transfer Forms (CTF), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and other documentation. You will assist senior-level disposers and specialists in preparing waste for transportation. You will assist disposers or specialists in inspections of solid waste material for potential recycling/reclamation. You will operate motor vehicles, forklifts, hydraulic drum handling equipment, cutting tools, compactors, mixers, solid and hazardous waste processing equipment. You will comply with established safety, fire and other regulations. You will utilize computer and associated data software to determine proper packaging, storage and disposal criteria. You will operate mechanical and chemical pumps/equipment, hand tools, saws, grinders and other devices associated with the processing of solid and hazardous waste.
