Title: TELEPHONE OPERATOR (RPT/RETAIL OPS SUPPORT) Location: United States-Hawaii-Pearl Harbor Job Number: 240002WR Job Summary: Serves as telephone operator and performs various clerical and typing duties. Duties and Responsibilities: Operates a console type telephone switchboard in receiving planning and transferring calls. Answers inquiries which are routine repetitive specific and usually relate to office locations numbers names and other similar readily available and uncomplicated factual information. Performs various clerical duties such as receiving opening distribution of mail to clearly marked departments collating and stapling advertising flyers maintaining a limited number of logs records and files and similar type work. Utlizes equipment for the preparation of routine and involved complex correspondence letters memorandums such as statistical or other tabular material reports mailing lists bulletins voces purchase orders procurement contracts directives and financial statements depending upon the organizational element to which assigned The output is prepared from a variety of sources including typed or hand-written drafts or from voice recordings. - Receives screens and distributes mail. Logs incoming work and correspondence and performs proof reading activities. Maintains a variety of records files manuals and instructions. Makes changes to or inserts revised and supplementary pages in manual publications and other regulatory material. Receives and makes telephone calls. Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: No experience required. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
