This position will act as a liaison between field commissioning and engineering management. The main responsibilities involved with this role include technically supporting and guiding the current team of Solutions Engineers, aiding in divisional standardization through enhancing workflows and policies, and positively interfacing with the customer base. This role will be responsible for two areas of Digital & Complex Electrical Solutions, that being the integration of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Sm@rtGear electrical apparatus via hardware and software solutions. This candidate will report directly to the Solutions Engineering Manager of the Digital & Complex Electrical Solutions with the possibility of growing into having approximately three direct reports.

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Leads the implementation of hardware/software for energy management systems and Sm@rtGear electrical apparatus.

  • Understands and applies safety procedures (with an emphasis on construction safety)

  • Resolves complex networking, software integration, and electrical wiring issues

  • Drives process improvement and policy revision to improve engineering workflow

  • Develops training and trains Solutions Engineering team on best divisional practices/standards

  • Develops complex network topologies by interpreting various electrical drawings (single lines, riser diagrams, network layouts) and electrical specifications.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related education.

  • 5 plus years directly related work experience and may accept advanced degree/education as equivalent for less experience.

  • Must possess the ability to travel up to 50% of time.

  • Expert in WinPM software and complex power monitoring solutions

  • Technical expertise with Utilities, Metering, Networking (TCP/IP, RS485, Modbus), and various Operating Systems (with an emphasis on server environments)

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Time and task management skills (e.g. Project Manager, Project Engineer)

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to interface with customers at all levels.

  • Ability to manage productivity of Solutions Engineering team for billable and non-billable service

  • Ability to design, execute, and manage projects with complex power monitoring solutions

  • Ability to develop, implement, and drive continuous improvement in the QA/QC processes related to Solutions Engineering

  • Ability to develop technical training for advanced power monitoring solutions

  • Experience with the following communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, Profibus, OPC)

  • SQL database expertise

  • Proficiency with Xara, Paint.Net, and other graphical editing software

  • Ability to delegate

  • Proficient with PLC programming and implementation

  • TIA portal experience

The pay range for this position is $79,900 - $137,100. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
