Eaton Corporation Segment Strategy Manager in Peachtree City, Georgia

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Segment Strategy Manager. This position is remote ;however, preference will be given to those candidates that live near the following Eaton locations: Peachtree City GA or Pittsburgh PA (Moon Twp) or Charlotte, NC area.

The Assemblies and Residential Solutions (ARS) business is looking to identify growth opportunities in the two-to-five-year time horizon and we’re looking for an experienced talent who can help lead the identification, development and execution. Focus on high potential opportunities across the three divisions that comprise ARS in areas including, but not limited to digital, channel, segment and key enablers (e.g., Federal and state government funding, third-party financing, etc.).

The Segment Strategy Manager will need to understand market trends, customer/distributor needs, competition, primary economic levers, and industry trends. Identify key coverage gaps, leveraging both organic and inorganic opportunities to grow both market and wallet share. Collaborate on strategy for the US prosumer offer; selling software through channel. Identify partnerships and potential investment opportunities, which build strength or profitability in the US channel. Develop business cases and present proposals to senior leadership.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

In this role:

• Identify, prioritize, develop strategies for and execute on nascent opportunities, which can deliver meaningful out-year growth.

• Collaborate with the marketing and engineering leaders across the divisions to ensure we maximize synergies in these opportunities across the divisions.

• Map the landscape of channels to market for energy transition products overlayed with Eaton’s legacy product offerings.

• Understand the competitive landscape and key points of differentiation to serving customers in these new markets and or channels.

• Get involved in key industry working groups, trade associations to ensure Eaton is abreast of emerging opportunities.

• Build relationships with key influencers and decision makers to cultivate these long sales cycle opportunities.

• Track relevant market trends and the evolving competitive landscape while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of key product applications and relevant standards

• Provide leadership and drive results for global alignment around product development, marketing initiatives, regional requirements, and segment-specific execution

• Support the product line owners in key customer interactions, business development opportunities, and negotiations with customers

• Work closely with channel, major accounts, global product line teams, and segment managers and ensure alignment and leverage their collective expertise on the way to bring the product line to market

• Work with Marketing Communications to support product promotion of relevant product lines including traditional promotional materials as well as on-line and multimedia assets

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree i from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a marketing or strategy role within the construction, residential, energy or industrial market.

  • Must be willing to travel 20%, domestically

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree from an accredited institution

  • Experience writing and presenting senior executive level communications for internal and external audiences

  • Experience and background in a technical engineering role
