job summary:

Permanent Position for a Senior Engineer with 7+ years of experience in product development for gas-fired consumer products, ie: heat pump systems, boilers, and other HVAC products. Relocation assistance is available. This position is located in Fayette County, GA (30 minutes south of the Atlanta Airport) in a beautiful community with top schools.

Required Skills:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years in engineering design and product development with the following:

• heat pump water and space systems, boilers, air handler units, direct vent furnaces, vent-free connectors, and other space and water heating products.

• Understanding of Certification standards as they to gas-fired products.

• ASHRAE, NEEA, ANSI, CSA, DOE AHRI, Energy Start standards processes and testing methods.

• Mechanical systems product development and applications

• Solidworks or other CAD software

• Experience in developing new products - New Product Development or Stage-Gate Process.

• Work on cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance and certification requirements.

• Create and document technical data for assigned projects.
