Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Virtualization Engineer (Sr. Network Engineer) to join our Cyber Range Operations team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). This facility supports the Test Resource Management Center s (TRMC) mission to provide realistic cybersecurity environments for test and evaluation of major DoD acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force. The NCRC facility may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia and international partners.

The Virtualization Engineer is part of our network management team within the Information Environment Department and is responsible for developing, maturing, improving, and delivering effective virtual machine management and engineering. The Virtualization Engineer (VE) is responsible for the VSPHERE and VMWARE environment ensuring delivery of effective VM support to cyber test and evaluation (T&E) requirements. The VE provides direct engineering, maintenance, and modification support to each T&E event as needed.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• 4 Years with BS; 2 Years with MS; 0 Years with PhD

• Bachelor of Science degree in systems engineering, network engineering, cybersecurity, computers or related degree

• Candidates with Armed Forces, college courses or Associate Degree, extensive certification, andadditional experience are highly encouraged to apply.

• VMWare Certifications and 3 years of experince in VMWare vSphere; NSXT Data Center;vRealize

• DoD 8570.01M/ IATII certification within 6 months of assignment to position (CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate))

• Top Secret/SCI Eligible clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Active Top Secret/SCI Eligible clearance

• High degree of organization and communications skills

• VMWare Certifications and 5 years of experience in VMWare vSphere; NSXT Data Center;vRealize; vSAN; Cloud Foundation

• AWS Cloud Artitect

• 2 yrs Kubernetes Engineering and Delivery

• Active, Reserve, or National Guard military service with network or cyber security experience

• IAT level III (CISA, GSE, SCNA, GCIH, CISSP (or Associate)) or IAM Level III (GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate))

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $89650 - $152460

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
