Precise Systems, Inc. Security Response Team Assistant/Guard (Third Shift) in Patuxent River, Maryland

We are seeking a Security Response Team Assistant/Guard to support our customer in Patuxent River, MD.
Duties:
Provides security services twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week.
Patrols and inspects the property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity.
Protect customer investments, control building access, deter criminal activity, and perform physical security checks of secure access areas.
Restrict facility access to authorized personnel only.
Maintain an activity log including patrol activities, anti-terrorism measures, fire alarms, and intrusion alarms.
Capable of interpreting, comprehending, and implementing instructions, standard operating procedures, and personnel directives.
Capable of utilizing telephone and radio communications to call for assistance from police, fire or emergency medical services as the situation dictates.
Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude and interact well with others.
Able to take charge and direct others in emergency situations and show good judgment.
Must demonstrate good common sense; follow directions and directives from supervisors.
This position is shift work and will support third shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
In addition, the Security Response Assistant is required to meet the following criteria:
Ability to multi-task under high-pressure circumstances
Proficient in Windows XP computer system
Conduct roving patrols (approximately one (1) mile of walking per patrol, approximately four (4) patrols per shifts.)
Conduct freight delivery inspections
Perform FOD (Foreign Object Debris) detection and removal
Develop a working knowledge of government policy and procedures
Willing to work in adverse weather conditions
Working knowledge of ESS (Electronic Security System): CCTV–Electronic Access Control System
Ability to stand/walk for more than three (3) hours during assigned shift
Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds and carry short distances
Willingness to work shift work
Available for twenty-four (24) hour recall
Willingness to change shifts with limited notification
Willing to adhere to Security Response Team procedures and directives to include uniform, personal appearance and courtesy directives
Able to take, interpret and carry out orders/directives
Willing to participate in continuing education and training courses
Demonstrate oral and written (print and cursive) proficiency in the English language
Must be able to pass a drug test and agree to participate in Precise System’s Random Drug Testing Program
Must be 21 years of age or older
Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirement:
Minimum of three years of experience performing duties described in the functional description
Clean Driving Record: a motor vehicle record (MVR) with no more than one moving violation, at-fault or impaired infractions, or traffic-related convictions for 5 years
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
