Naval Air Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Patuxent River, Maryland

Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION, MISSION SYSTEMS GROUP, LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV, as the PMA-281 Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC) Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML). Responsibilities You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet product support requirements. You will apply logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements for Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program milestones, knowledge point reviews, and future program increments. You will evaluate the causes of support related problems, and choose appropriate courses of action that balance the interests of the program mission and the stakeholders. You will implement IT Systems Continuous Support to identify, plan, resource, and acquire hardware, software, firmware, documentation, and personnel necessary for planning and management of mission critical computer hardware and software systems. You will prepare and/or deliver presentations to customers/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements/implementation. You will represent Product Support at Program Management Reviews, Design Reviews, contract negotiations, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Working Groups, and Logistics Products and Process Reviews in support of the IPT. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in the planning, analysis and execution of an effective Integrated Product Support (IPS) Program; 2) Applying logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements; 3) Serving as a Mission Systems Deputy Assistant Program Manager, Logistics (DAPML) in the PMA-281 Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC); and 4) Knowledge of hardware/software management, integration, and procurement.
