Naval Air Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Patuxent River, Maryland
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the modified DoD Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will develop and implement product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost. You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements. You will assist in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases. You will participate in risk management processes and early identification of system integration risks. You will provide analyses on degraders and data gathered from logistics management information systems in the execution of logistics and program planning documentation. You will prepare and/or deliver presentations to customers/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements/implementation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements; 2) Developing and reviewing program technical and mission documentation and providing authoritative input and direction on all logistics/maintenance issues and requirements; 3) Demonstrating experience with hardware/software management, integration, and procurement; and 4) Performing cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems. Education Additional Information This position if for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, PMA-281 Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC) Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML). This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
