Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.


Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is looking forComputer Hardware Engineer-Juniorto join our team in the Patuxent River area. This team supports a Department of Defense (DoD) client.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform programmatic or technical roles identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and guide the engineering development of modern complex systems.

  • Employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems.

  • Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.

  • May help with the supervising of manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree OR

  • High school diploma or GED and CNSSI 4011-Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals OR

  • High school diploma or GED and active CSWF Code 451, 632, 651, 652 certifications or equivalent (CompTIA A+, Network+, SCCP,)

  • NAVEDTRA 43301-5B LCS Total Shipboard Computing Environment (TSCE)

  • With privileged access- NAVEDTRA 43469 Watch station 301 - Information Assurance Technician Level I

  • Active Top Secret clearance required

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to obtain SCI eligible

  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.

  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.

  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.

  • Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.

  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.

  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired.

  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
