Work Tasks to be performed

·         Pruning, Training and General Farm labor.

·         Operate irrigation systems to irrigate soil and trees Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems. Set up and operate irrigation equipment.

·         Operate frost protection equipment.

·         Adjust minor repairs to machinery.

·         Operate platforms in the orchard that are used for pruning, thinning, and harvesting of tree fruits.

·         Safely operate an ATV, Forklift, manlift, or farm truck as directed.

·         Scouting and sampling of insects, diseases, and soil fertility.

·         Operate Farming Equipment.

Tareas Específicas en el Trabajo

·         Poda, capacitación y mano de obra agrícola en general.

·         Operar sistemas de riego para irrigar suelos y árboles. Mantener y reparar sistemas de riego y control climático. Instalar y operar equipos de riego.

·         Operar equipos de protección contra heladas.

·         Adecuar reparaciones menores a maquinaria.

·         Operar plataformas en el huerto que se utilizan para podar, raleo y cosecha de frutos de árboles.

·         Opere con seguridad un vehículo todo terreno, montacargas, elevador de personal o camión agrícola según las indicaciones.

·          Exploración y muestreo de insectos, enfermedades y fertilidad del suelo.

·         Operar equipos agrícolas.

Job Requirements

·         3 months of tree fruit experience work experience.

·         Drug Screen

·         Lifting requirement 60lbs.

·         Exposure to extreme temperatures

·         Extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, repetitive movements

·         Frequent stooping or bending over

·         Must anticipate being available to work the entire contract period.

·         Proficiency in English or Spanish is required for training and safety purposes.
