Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the consumer packaged goods industry, based in California. This role is for a Sr. Financial Analyst, who will be responsible for managing trade budgets, conducting ROI analysis, delivering detailed sales reports, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, among other tasks. This position involves a deep understanding of finance, accounting functions, and data mining techniques, along with proficiency in CRM and ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Sales team to manage trade budgets and promotional spend effectively, aligning with company objectives and financial guidelines.

• Conduct ROI analysis on promotions and evaluate trade efficiency through post-promotion analysis.

• Deliver detailed reporting and analysis of Sales, Trade, and Customer P& Ls, supporting decision-making processes.

• Lead period-end close activities, internal controls, and S& OP processes, promoting profitable revenue growth.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamline processes, and support system enhancements.

• Utilize CRM and ERP systems to manage financial data and generate reports.

• Employ data mining techniques to identify trends and make informed financial decisions.

• Oversee budget processes, expense reporting, and forecasting & modeling to ensure financial stability.

• Utilize knowledge of trade marketing and promotional advertising to maximize ROI.

• Prepare pro forma financial statements and other financial reporting documents.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is required.

• Should possess skills in Data Mining Techniques.

• Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and ERP solutions is necessary.

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions and Budget Processes is essential.

• Must have experience in Expense Reporting.

• A strong understanding of Finance, Return on Investment, and Trade Marketing is required.

• Should have a background in Consumer Packaged Goods.

• Must have expertise in Forecasting & Modeling, Budgeting - Forecasting, and Inventory forecasting.

• Proficiency in Financial Reporting is necessary.

• Experience in analytics for sales and marketing.
