Job Purpose Summary

  • The Senior Global Product Manager is Corza Ophthalmology’s “go-to” commercially-oriented, cross-functional, global subject matter expert (SME) for ophthalmic products and leads Corza Ophthalmology’s efforts to drive revenue and gain market share. This position works closely with members of the marketing department, sales, sales support, product development, regulatory, quality and operations to ensure continuity in product offering and company goals. The Senior Product Manager is also responsible for adhering to and promoting the company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader and supports the continued growth of the company.

What you will do

  • Continually assess the global market landscape and competitive trends across various customer, geographic and care-setting channels, with a particular emphasis on the US surgery center space.

  • Shape, articulate and drive the global product-category strategy for Corza Ophthalmology’s portfolio of ophthalmic surgical instruments, including but not limited to Katena Products Inc.

  • Ensure that respective product families are appropriately positioned within the Katena portfolio of product families and are supported in the market through effective training, marketing, and service programs.

  • Own, represent and champion each product family’s interests internally and externally.

  • Work cross-functionally to build business cases for investment in new products & programs, with heavy input into product-line business decisions and resource planning.

  • Engage with the team both up-and downstream from new product development to pricing expertise to sales support.

  • Synthesize large amounts of information including customer feedback, quantitative data from web analytics, research reports, market competition, market trends and statistics.

  • Develop relationships with key customers and develop advisory boards and meetings when necessary.

  • Represent marketing at key customer/sales meetings and corporate presentations.

  • Willingness to travel as needed, domestic and international, estimated at 25%.

  • Conduct all work activities in compliance with Corza Ophthalmology’s internal requirements and all applicable regulatory requirements. Corza Ophthalmology internal requirements include compliance with ethics, environmental health and safety, financial and general business policies and requirements.

  • Strong Project Management skills with the ability to manage projects independently from start to finish and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast paced and dynamic environment.

  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management, including senior leadership.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business/Engineering; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum 5+ years of successful related business (sales, marketing or product management) experience within the surgical medical devices industry required; global experience preferred.

  • Experience in global product management and/or portfolio management is highly preferred.
