The opportunity

In this role you will build and lead a team of program managers to provide optimal support to big pharma and CDMO customers on their projects with TAPI. Assure timely delivery on all relevant information, coordinate technical calls, visits and whatever is needed to support successful execution of projects with the customers. Liase with technical subject matter experts (SME’s) and technical operations experts to provide optimal support.

Location of Position:This role is based in Parsippany, NJ. The role has the flexibility to be remote within the US if the selected candidate is not local to Parsippany, NJ or surrounding areas. Periodic travel into the Parsippany, NJ office will be required.

How you’ll spend your day

  • CDMO and Big pharma project management – establish working processes to support TAPI's ambitious business growth (routines / key meetings with clients, internal ways of working at TAPI between Commercial, R&D and Ops teams)

  • Lead the RFP process from Kick of till proposal submission, within customer's requirements (qty and timeline), based on TAPI's costing models

  • Support client projects from Request for Proposal (RFP) through commercialization.

  • Ensure the RFP is created to best in class for submission to Customer after alignment with internal stakeholders

  • Defining the scope and objective of a project once it is awarded.

  • Assessing risks – managing risks and contingency plan of a project. Learnings from mistakes and trouble shooting to prevent recurrence of issues in project.

  • Regular communication with Customers and internal stakeholders on progress and flagging risks in advance. Ensure deliverables to project timelines in line with customer expectations. Engage in periodic telecons/ meetings and send reports to customer on the project.

  • Coordinate with Technical/ Operations/ SC SME to ensure resourcing – people/ capex and capacity does not become an issue.

  • Keep track of budget for the project to avoid surprises.

  • Periodic meetings with Project team members across functions

  • Align with Key Account Managers (KAM) and provide them all the information needed to maintain high level of relationship with customers

  • Be available as a point contact for customer whenever needed for the project.

  • Work closely with the business development team to increase win rate on projects.

  • Liase with business development team, technical SME’s and technical operations experts to provide optimal support to the customers throughout their development and commercialization processes.

  • Coordinate technical calls, customer visit to the manufacturing sites and full support to the customers to drive successful execution on projects.

  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure optimal customer support

  • Support governance process on big pharma and CDMO with relevant information.

  • Lead a team of program managers who are dedicated per key account.

  • Offer process methodology improvements to both R&D and operations to assure we are meeting client expectations.

  • Manage our clients with white glove service to enhance stickiness and overall project portfolio with them.

Your experience and qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical experience in program management, ideally in CDMO.

  • CDMO Pharmaceutical industry experience required.

  • B2B Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Pertinent professional education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study required.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, lead and execute on a variety of assignments and action plans; driving for results and managing complex projects.

  • Strong leadership capabilities and skills to lead a global organization

  • Executive presence with proven ability to influence others.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across different levels of the organization.

  • Strong strategic agility and business acumen.

  • High potential for development.

  • This role requires up to 50% of travel
