We are seeking a Client Development Manager as a sales professional to focus on initial sales activities: lead generation, marketing campaigns, account research, and initial outreach. The ideal candidate will be able to create, leverage, and enable more client-facing time by our strongest producers. They will be a team player, highly collaborative, have excellent communication skills, and be willing to roll up their sleeves while they learn our business.

This includes

  • Being tied to a given Client Development team’s revenue target to ensure consistent and agile support throughout the year

  • Attending any client meeting(s) they set with their Client Development Individual partners to enable career progression and sales development

  • Primarily focusing on RGP’s major existing accounts in a given market, but may also be exposed to newer accounts based on business needs


  • Demonstrates integrity and respect for people and opinions

  • Demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Willingness to be a team player, supporting multiple individuals with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent at relationship management with high emotional intelligence and the ability to engage people

  • Strong personal identification with RGP’s values – loyalty, integrity, focus, enthusiasm, accountability and talent


  • Focus on building relationships with larger accounts needing additional administrative and or/prospecting bandwidth due to constraints

  • Support Market Leader in non-client facing sales activities such as marketing campaigns and collateral, sales team meeting preparation, reporting, and developing presentations.

  • Support multiple high revenue generating Directors of Client Development by offloading administrative and early-stage sales related tasks for revenue accelerating purposes.

  • Take point on Vendor Management System (VMS) administrative work for the market’s key accounts.

  • Support smaller sized accounts that have long-term relationships with Directors to allow for client continuity and additional Director's bandwidth.

  • Research & Planning Objectives:

  • Salesforce Cleanup: Update contacts & reconcile with LinkedIn

  • Lead Generation: Discover Org, Alumni, Execs in Transition, Contacts Moving.

  • Account Research: 10K/10Q review, news alerts, employee movement.

  • Research & Planning Objectives:

  • Lead Generation: Discover Org, Alumni, Execs in Transition, Contacts Moving.

  • Account Research: 10K/10Q review, news alerts, employee movement.

  • Outreach

  • 50+ weekly outreach targeting new contacts in existing accounts.

  • Launch, manage, and track sales campaigns.

  • Meetings/Opportunities

  • Set 3+ client meetings per week.

  • Attend with Director of Client Development, prepare the Business Development collateral, support the Director of Client Development and create the subsequent opportunity and information in Salesforce.

  • Revenue/In-Flight Engagement

  • Support consultant management and business development by coordinating consultant prep team updates, happy hours and bi-monthly onsite visits.


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year institution

  • 2-5 years of experience; strong interest in professional services and solution selling

  • Aptitude to dig into the data and gain insights that drives business opportunities

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and recommendations

  • Sense of urgency to create and achieve high performance goals

  • An aptitude for identifying opportunities and establishing and advancing a sales pipeline
