Account Manager
Overview:
The Contracts Administrator independently performs a full range of complex duties with primary emphasis toward ensuring contractual relationships between the company, its government customers and subcontractors in conformance with FAR/DFAR, company objectives and state and federal law. This position is responsible for creating, revising, reviewing, negotiating and overseeing company held contracts. Serves as the primary interface with customers, understanding their requirements.
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:
Administers assigned contracts and to include but not limited to contract modifications, ensuring compliance with customer PO requirements, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation with existing or prospective clients. This includes but is not limited to:
Prepare proposals in response to customer RFI’s, RFP's & RFQ's.
Analyzes and evaluates RFPs and ensures responsive proposals are prepared in accordance with the RFP.
Administers assigned contracts and to include but not limited to contract modifications, ensuring compliance with customer PO requirements, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation with existing or prospective clients.
Supporting RFPs; understanding the proposals including engineering changes; supporting negotiation and defining activities and identifying priorities on each program.
Coordinating with other company functions as required to ensure appropriate reviews are conducted, scheduling required reviews, and obtaining required review and approval signatures prior to submittal of proposals or execution of contractual document.
Adheres to contract policies, procedures, methods, operating practices, and performance standards for areas of responsibility.
Serves as a liaison with the PMO, Functional managers, and customers regarding contracting issues, secure approvals and ensure successful contract execution.
Develop or review prime contract and subcontractor flow down documents to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements and to minimize company liability.
Perform all aspects of assigned contracts or purchase order processing including, but not limited to, accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, receipts and delivery schedules, legal requirements, and other commitments.
Observe and support in preparation of negotiations, drafting required contract administration documentation etc.
Generate and maintain contract documentation.
Review purchase orders.
Responsible for Sales Order entry and review ensuring their compliance to the customer requirements.
Mentor and train less experienced professionals.
Assist in ensuring contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company polices, legal requirements, customer specifications, FAR and DFAR.
Assist in negotiations, execution and management in Contracts.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration preferred.
1-5 years of experience with contract administration, negotiations, and proposal preparation.
Experience with various contract types, including fixed-price, time and material, cost reimbursable, blanket purchase agreements (BPAs), and IDIQs.
Knowledge of federal government contracting.
Knowledge of federal acquisition regulation (FAR) and agency supplements.
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
Must be able to function in a fast pace, team focused environment.
Experience with various contract types, including Fixed-price, Time and Material, Cost Reimbursable, and IDIQs desired.
Familiarity with US Government Contract Administration including FAR and DFAR regulations desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
