Supervisor II, MS Offsite Operations
POSITION PROFILE
Provides leadership, training, and direction of personnel to ensure jobs are completed according to company quality standards, client job specifications, and deadline dates. This role aims to achieve the lowest production costs by effectively supervising assigned personnel, equipment operation, and workflow. The LDS Operations Manager position is responsible for revenue between $100,000 and $200,000 per month.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality & Deadline Management : Ensures jobs are completed according to company quality standards, client job specifications, and customer requested deadlines by effectively supervising assigned personnel, equipment operation, and workflow.
Labor Management : Manages total production labor percentages by achieving established percentages of production worker labor and quality control labor set by senior management.
Workflow Management : Maintains efficient workflow by holding direct reports accountable for the quality and efficiency of their work.
Contract Compliance : Responsible for ensuring client deadlines are met and ensuring compliance with contract, HR, and financial regulations.
Training & Performance : Meets training objectives and follows up on employee progress and performance. Provides training, cross-training, coaching, counseling, and evaluation to increase work output and quality.
Employee Safety : Focuses on employee safety by designating safety committees and adhering to the company’s Injury Management Program.
Employee Development : Takes ownership of employee performance through regular coaching and performance reviews. Motivates employees and recognizes accomplishments in a timely manner.
Personnel Management : Maintains adequate and quality personnel by interviewing, hiring, and conducting performance reviews; ensures internal job openings are posted.
Leadership & Communication : Promotes a work environment of integrity and responsibility by leading by example and maintaining positive internal relationships with department employees.
Financial Management : Responsible for managing financial results, including interpreting projections, managing declining balances, and reconciling profit and loss statements. Manages P&L.
Interdepartmental Collaboration : Fosters a positive work climate and strong relationships between the Production Department and the Sales Department.
Report Management : Completes required reports and other paperwork as necessary.
Systems Proficiency : Proficient in the use of required systems or equipment, such as PC, scanners, manifest systems, WMS, etc.
Safety Compliance : Ensures adherence to OSHA and company safety standards and guidelines.
Other Duties : Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
Education : 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience : Minimum of 5–7 years of production experience and 2 years of management experience.
Warehouse Experience : At least 5 years of warehouse experience required.
Warehouse Management Systems : 2 years of experience with warehouse management systems preferred.
Technical Knowledge : Knowledge of computer hardware and ERP platform environment is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Computer Skills : Must be proficient in using a personal computer and standard business software applications.
Communication Skills : Demonstrates excellent oral communication skills and can present information clearly in both positive and negative circumstances.
Motivation & Leadership : Ability to motivate individuals and groups by creating a positive work environment and offering quality training and mentoring.
Mathematical Skills : Possesses basic mathematical functions necessary for business operations, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing units of measurement.
Effective Communication : Ability to establish effective communication with direct reports by encouraging open, honest communication and providing constructive feedback.
WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Office Environment : Typically in an office environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise.
Physical Requirements : Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but may involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
Time Demands : May involve standing for up to two hours per day depending on workload. Must be available on call 24 hours a day via cell phone or pager.
Work Schedule : Available to work 8–12 hour shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays, depending on work volume.
Stress Management : Must be able to adapt to and manage high-stress situations for extended periods.
