Description UH Parma Medical Center Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma Center. The ED is a 32 bed unit with 24 beds on the main side including 23 monitor beds and 2 trauma bays. The Super Track area has 8 beds run by an Advanced Practice Provider. Our ED Team is a giant family. We thrive on team work! If it wasn't for team work, the ED would struggle getting through the day. Position Summary To maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe efficient age specific nursing care to patient/families. Essential Functions Routinely provide patient care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Maintains employee records. Identifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff development. Participates in Discharge planning, community resource referrals, and education. Committee involvement, participate in quality improvement initiatives. Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost-effective manner. Involved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
