West Virginia Employer Direct Care Aide in Parkersburg, West Virginia

REQUIREMENTS: BFOQ: Must be 18 years of age or older due to insurance purposes and type of work. Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check if hired. Clear of any misdemeanor/felony convictions of abuse, neglect of a child or incapacitated adult. Must have a HS/Equivelency, valid drivers license to drive between locations if required, clean driving record and auto insurance. Active CPR and First Aid Certification preferred but not required. Will provide the training to be certifieed if hired. Description: As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide direct, hands on services to clients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Services may include any or all of the following: Care and/or supervision of client who cannot provide for all of their needs and/or their primary caregiver(s) may need short term or long term coverage for client. Care may include supervision, monitoring, implementation of a behavior support plan, implementation of medical plans of care and habilitation training or Person Centered Support that provides support and habilitation services that enables the client to acquire and maintain independent living skills. These services are provided in their home or in the community. Finally, you may be active in Supported Employment that is designed to assist clients in gaining and maintaining competitive paid employment in an integrated community setting, at or above minimum wage. Description: These roles can be full-time or part-time with flexible hours. But full-time hours are normally 8am - 8pm or 8pm - 8am. Pay and benefits depend on number of hours worked. Full time has complete benefits including 401-K with a company match, PTO, medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, paid sick leave, company cell phone. Possibility of a Rention Bonus each month up to $150.00 per month. Pay is between $14.50 and $15.50 per hour. Pay, benefits, and hours will be discussed at interview.
