We are looking for people with experience in Logistics, interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Supply Chain department at PIM’s Headquarters in Park Ridge, New Jersey working on a Hybrid schedule. This position will report to our Director of Distribution.
Overview:
The Logistics Manager is responsible for supporting the Distribution Director and independently managing the logistics team and its activities. The essential daily function is to ensure that the logistics team adheres to all policies and procedures while processing PIM Brands’ shipments and continuously monitors for fast and economical ways to better service PIM Brands’ customers. This entails that shipments are processed and scheduled accurately and fully compliant with all vendor requirements, including all product and shipping container labeling and documentation requirements. Through regular communications with the vendors and operations department, this position ultimately oversees the end-to-end process for all international and domestic customer orders to ensure a positive customer experience throughout the order-to-delivery processes.
Responsible for managing overall PIM Brands transportation cost for logistics-related services
Provide leadership, work direction, and feedback for the logistics team
Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to coordinate the timely movement of freight from origin to destination points (Ocean, TL/LTL, and more)
Coordinate staff’s workload and capacity to ensure tasks are being completed promptly
Be proactive in communication around task statuses and follow-up
Review weekly freight invoices for accuracy
Closely work with the Distribution Director to resolve customer issues and complaints
Analyze logistics processes and propose and implement areas of improvements
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a logistics environment with deep knowledge of transportation economics and supply chain and a minimum of three (3) years of direct management experience
A bachelor's degree in business or logistics or in a related field, as well as equivalent work experience, is required.
Must have ERP or SAP preferred
Ability to manage logistics-related inquiries and invoicing issues
Leads and directs the work of the team while fostering a positive environment for the team members
Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
Able to handle complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others
Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish required tasks
Managing and developing the team members in their daily duties and career growth

worksite:
· The PIM Brands Global Headquarters in Park Ridge, New Jersey
· HYBRID - The role requires working on-site: Monday thru Thursday. Work from home/remotely on Fridays.
· Estimated travel 5 % to manufacturing locations, trade shows, retailer/broker/customer business reviews, etc. (complete, replace or remove to be applicable to this position)
