Intermountain Health Patient Care Tech CNA Med Surg in Park City, Utah
This position may function as both a Patient Care Tech (PCT) and Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). A Patient Care Tech functions as a clinical support partner assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. A Health Unit Coordinator, under the direction of nursing leadership, facilitates unit organization and patient care by assisting in the coordination of patient, nursing, physician and other health care provider office and clerical activities.

Park City Hospital Medical Surgical Park City Hospital is a 36 bed community facility that thrives on an enriched personal experience for both the patient and our caregivers. Our MedSurg team cares for a wide variety of adult & pediatric patients. While we are known for our orthopedic specialties, admitting both traumatic injuries and total joint surgeries, we also see a wide variety of medical patients, general surgeries, spine, & cosmetic surgeries. Our team works collaboratively with other disciplines to create cohesive patient experience. Shift Details: Full-time and part-time, various shifts available (days, nights or a combination of both), weekend and holiday requirements
Additional Details: Shift differentials given for evenings, nights and weekends
Geographic Differential of 5% also given at this location
Current CNA Certification.

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Completion of nursing assistant training program (verification of nursing assistant training program completion required and C.N.A. certification required within 120 days of hire) and BLS
Completion of a fundamentals of nursing class with a passing grade within the past two years (official transcript required to verify completion of class and C.N.A. certification required within 120 days of hire) and BLS
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
CNA experience or applicable healthcare experience.

Current enrollment in nursing school.

Basic computer skills.
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).

May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

$17.26 - $22.43
