DEER VALLEY RESORT Maintenance Technician Level II (Temporary) in PARK CITY, Utah

Company Name: Deer Valley Resort Company, LLC d/b/a Deer Valley Resort Job Title: Maintenance Technician Level II Dates of Temporary, Fulltime Employment: 11/30/2024-4/20/2025 Number of Openings: 5 Job Description: Will work with various chemicals including pool chemicals, concrete sealers and painting products. Includes working on ladders and scaffolding, use of power tools and equipment, as well as operating company vehicles in a variety of weather conditions. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the following: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall and various texturing. Electrical: HVAC - Understands electrical systems and HVAC systems. Troubleshooting, service, and repair of pumps, condensers, motors, lighting and 3 phase electrical panels and circuits. Plumbing: Install faucets, seats, drain seals. Remove/install toilets, auto flushers. Troubleshoot drainage problems, water leaks, lack of water and effect repairs. Carpentry: Understand woodworking and carpentry. Work on cabinetry, counters, walls, stairs and doors. Drywall repair and painting interiors and exteriors when needed. Perform grounds maintenance, snow removal and ground care. Experience Requirement: Mid-level maintenance skills required. Education Requirement: No Level of Education Required. Training or Certification Requirement: Mid-level maintenance skills required. CPO certified in maintaining balanced pool and hot tub chemicals. Special Requirements for the Job: Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to perform heavy lifting (50+ pounds) and strenuous work. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, swing and graveyard shifts. Background checks are completed in new hire onboarding with Human Resources. Work hours from: 6 AM and 10 PM, shifts based on the time of the season, daylight, and need. Hourly Wage: $23.81/hr (based on merit and past experience with our company) Overtime Possible: Overtime may be available at $35.72/hr. Possible Wage Increase: Deer Valley offers pay raises based on performance and merit. Each employee receives a performance review at the end of each season, based on these reviews employees will receive a merit from 0% - 5% for the start of the next winter season. Employee's may receive spot raises based on their performance. Pay Period: A single work week, starting Saturday, will be used to calculate hourly wages, and will be paid Bi-weekly. Housing is offered and optional. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $119 - $185.50 per week, subject to change. If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A $250 partially refundable security deposit is required, to be paid directly to employer upon acceptance of housing. Up to $200 of deposit may be returned to the employee based on condition of housing, at the employer's sole discretion, at the end of the employment period. Employer also provides a list of available contacts in the Park City area that staff can contact directly. Trans ortation is not provi ded. All worksites are accessible by the Park City Transit system. Optional Deductions from Paycheck: meals, 401K, health insurance, non-returned company items, housing rent & fines, employee entertainment events and functions. Fringe Benefits: Meal plans are $3.50/meal, ski lift passes are free, retail discounts range from 10-20% off in all Deer Valley outlets Disclosures: Visa Fees: The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. Three-Fourths Guarantee: In accordance with 20 CFR 655.20(f); the employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Inbound/Outbound Transportation: Transportation and subsistence costs from the place from which the worker has to travel, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment will be provided to the worker by check if the worker completes 50% of the period of employment. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts, consistent with 20 CFR.20(j)(1)(i) and 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(ii). Tools: The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assign in accordance with 20 CFR 655.20(k).
