VWR International, LLC Solvent Packaging Operator in Paris, Kentucky
The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a Solvent Packaging Operator.
This is a full-time position based out of our Paris, KY office and will report to a Production Supervisor.
Work Schedule: M-F, 7am-3:30pm
What we're looking for:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 - 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility, preferable a chemical plant.
- Additional Qualifications:
Demonstrated mechanical ability.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem analysis skills.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Critical decision-making skills, creativity, multi-tasking ability.
RCRA Training.
How you will thrive and create an impact:
Adhere to all safety precautions and PPE (personal protection equipment) requirements while completing the assigned duties in a safe manner.
Work on automated lines, place empty bottles on converter, placing filled bottles in case, and stacking cases on pallet.
- Work on automatic side stations, ranging from 4liter bottles, 5gal pails, and 55gl drums.
- Work on manual side stations filling from drum jacks.
Take particle count samples and run particle count tests.
Keep accurate production records.
Monitor and assist assigned packaging operations.
Work with the Quality Assurance Department to understand, recognize and rectify quality issues.
Stop the line and notify QA of a contamination event.
Comply with all cGMP requirements.
Manage hazardous and universal waste according to local, state and federal regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
