Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will supervise Supply Chain Specialists and work directly with suppliers to ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of parts and associated paperwork to appropriate NAL locations according to required delivery schedules.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
Checks with suppliers on delivery dates to reduce potential for past due deliveries.
Monitors the work of Supply Chain Specialists.
Identifies delivery problems and works with suppliers and internal resources to resolve.
Manages performance and time of SCS I/II and addresses any shortcomings or issues. Determines on call schedule and helps to facilitate changes.
Works as an escalation point for SCS I/II for reoccurring supply issues or shortages. Advises SCS and supplier contacts on the best actions to ensure on time delivery or an acceptable recovery plan
Assist in Supplier OTD score calculation. Review the SCS group entries daily to ensure accurate supplier scores.
Requirements
Your Background
High School Diploma or GED, plus 8 years of experience in an office/administrative or related position, including 3 years of experience in a JIT environment OR
Associate’s Degree in a business or manufacturing related discipline, plus 6 years of experience in a related position OR
Bachelor’s Degree in a business or manufacturing-related discipline, plus 4 years of experience in a related position.
Experience in supplier scheduling, logistics, and production control is preferred.
