Our Opportunity

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Photometric Lab Technician - I to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform photometric testing of lighting products, measure outcomes, evaluate data, and provide routine troubleshooting support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities

  • Performs photometric testing of lighting products in accordance with established company, customer, industry, and regulatory standards and specifications (such as: SAE standards, OEM standards, and FMVSS 108).

  • Monitors progress of testing and measures outcomes.

  • Reviews and evaluates the results of testing to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Reports the results and analysis on the proper documentation.

  • Assists in and/or performs troubleshooting of defective equipment.

  • Performs the daily aim/photometric checks, as required.

Requirements

Your Background

  • High School Diploma or GED, plus 2 to 4 years of experience in a related position OR

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline, plus 0 to 2 years of experience in a related position.

Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Process Control is preferred.
