Hydro Power – a major player in the hydroelectricity generation market - is a business division of GE Vernova. Our work includes the designing, manufacturing, and installation of equipment for hydroelectric power plants, as well as servicing and refurbishing existing facilities. Hydro Power’s turbines and generators represent more than 25% of the total installed capacity worldwide, with 4000 employees present in more than 30 countries.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Contract Management Leader who will drive the function for our Hydro Power business’s EMEA and ASIA regions, reporting to the Global Contract Management Leader.

The Regional CM Leader will manage a small regional team of senior professionals Contract Managers, tasked with leading the team to identify, analyze, and manage commercial and contractual risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. In addition, the Regional CM Leader will be operational on a portfolio of projects. The role will involve managing customer, partner, and supplier contracts, negotiating terms, mitigating risks, and driving strategic contract initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong contract management, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leads a contract management community that is responsible and accountable for the mitigation of contractual and commercial risks across Hydro Power.

  • Reviews CM resource levels within their Region to ensure the proper level of resource for current and future needs.

  • Operationally, directly manages a portfolio of projects, ensuring timely execution and compliance with contractual obligations

  • Identifies and drives contractual and commercial opportunities (customer, partner and supplier), monitoring progress throughout the project lifecycle in alignment with Hydro Power business objectives.

  • Formulates and implements processes to ensure timely submission of notices, variation orders and and claims (customer, partner and supplier).

  • Personally oversees the development of commercial strategies and directly supports negotiations of significant risks and opportunities. Drafts, prepares and negotiates claims, amendments, and settlement agreements effectively (customer, partner and supplier) in alignment with Hydro Power business objectives.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, Engineering, C&C, Sourcing, to align contract strategies with business objectives and project requirements.

  • Establishes and maintains a contract repository, ensuring all contracts are properly stored, organized and accessible

Required Qualifications:

  • This role requires significant experience in Contract Management

  • Degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university or college

  • Experience with managing a global team

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in English is required

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
