The Consumer Insights manager role sits within the Strategic Segment unit of Home care categories (SSU Home). The purpose of this role is to be the voice of the consumer, in a cross functional innovation team, by focusing on fundamental consumer insights to drive innovation opportunities. This exciting role is global in scope and requires a solid understanding of various consumer research techniques to unveil consumer needs in multiple innovation contexts for home care. The job is based in EU region where we have substantially sized affiliates and will require occasional travel.

Your key responsibilities
Lead and Co-lead the planning and execution of innovation consumer insights studies to help develop winning solutions for consumer needs.
Ability to deconstruct consumer insights from various sources to build an action plan
Identify and action insights by proposing needed research to SSU Home strategy
Manage research projects from start to finish and follow up research
Deliver statistical interpretation of primary research data (prototyping, product testing and U&A) and the delivery of actionable recommendations
Cascade and communicate innovation internal processes and standards, in collaboration with the Global SSU CI lead

You bring
B.S/M.S in food science, sensory, psychology, consumer behavior or equivalent
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a consumer insights team or research agency
Proven skills in Insights Generation and Quantitative Data Analysis, through extensive use of XLstat/Excel, as well as data collecting tools (such as Fizz, SIMS, Compusense)
Strong Ability to Interpret Results through datamining and good understanding of statistics
Good communication skills to easily navigate in a global, multicultural and matrix environment
Must have strong English skills to support global communication and project management.
Proactive strategic thinker who is able to juggle several projects according to business needs
Great organization skills, pragmatic and a hands-on attitude

Important notes
This job title is temporary and will be adjusted once the job grading structure for the new Group will be adopted (covering among others: grades’ design, job evaluations, calibration, and job titles’ nomenclature). Until these adjustments are finalized, current compensation packages will be grandfathered for those whose new position turns out to be graded lower than their current position. This temporary period will last not more than 24 months for the legacy DSM Executives or legacy FIR SLT members, and not more than 12-18 months for all other employees from the moment the candidate moves into their new position.
