The Packager operates machines and equipment to package products for storage or shipment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Load materials and products into packaging equipment.

  • Sort and inspect products, visually verifying products meet specifications.

  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.

  • Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as box misalignment, jams, or glue that isn't adhering properly.

  • Create and attach appropriate labels to finished packaged items.

  • Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, labels, or hardware.

  • Package the product in the form in which it will be shipped, for example, inserting part into Martin boxes and containers.

  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.

  • Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.

  • Count and record finished and rejected packaged items.

  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.

  • Stack finished packaged items, or wrap protective material around each item, and pack the items in cartons or containers.

  • Responsible for adhering to the safety and environmental policies and regulations,

  • R esponsible for adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Applicants must be able to work 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, some overtime will be required.

  • Ability to work in a team setting.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with Managers, Supervisors and fellow employees.


  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere to safe workplace practices.

  • Ability to position self to move and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to stand for entire shift.
