Catholic Health Initiatives Educator RN Facilitator in Papillion, Nebraska

Overview

The RN Education Facilitator Educator plays a vital role in supporting the educational initiatives and priorities of CHI Health. This position is responsible for facilitating the acquisition of skills, knowledge, and competencies among nursing staff and the broader profession. The incumbent will promote evidence-based practice and implement effective adult teaching strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality education. This position requires a strong commitment to education, a passion for nursing, and a dedication to patient care.

Responsibilities

  1. Facilitating educational initiatives and priorities: This involves delivering educational programs, workshops, and other learning opportunities aligned with the nursing goals and objectives.

  2. Implementing adult teaching strategies: Utilizing a variety of teaching methods, the incumbent will cater to the diverse learning needs of nursing staff and ensure effective knowledge transfer.

  3. Assisting nursing staff and professionals in skill and knowledge acquisition: This includes providing guidance, mentorship, and support to nurses as they develop their professional skills and knowledge base by promoting evidence based practice.

  4. Facilitating classes: The incumbent may be assigned to teach classes as a primary or fill-in educator, depending on the needs of the department. This includes clinical orientation skills, nurse residency classes, mandatory skills day, or other classes as identified by leadership.

  5. Contributing to the mission and vision of CHI Health: The incumbent will embody the values and principles of CHI Health through their practice experience and demonstrate proficiency in nursing care. Contributes to the maintenance of educational tools and resources and evaluation of programs.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.

3 years clinical experience.

Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.

Basic life support is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Heart Association: Basic Life Support.

  • Nursing education experience demonstrating progressive experience in the development and implementation of clinical education programs.

  • Minimum three years relevant nursing experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge and application of advanced nursing skills.

  • Ability to critically think in complex situations.

Pay Range

$28.20- $40.89 /hour
