Other FOOD SUPPORT WORKERS, including OPS (temporary) positions, may be filled from this advertisement within six (6) months of the closing date.
The successful candidate will be required to pass a security background check to include, but not limited to fingerprinting and drug screening and participate in direct deposit. Note: you will be required to provide your Social Security number in order to conduct the background screening.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Willingness and ability to work weekends and holidays, as scheduled
Willingness to work at the Clifford Chester Sims SVNH located in Panama City FL in Bay County
Willingness and ability to work overtime
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year of verifiable institutional cooking experience
Basic computer skills
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Incumbent will work under the supervision of the Food Service Director and the Food Production and Services Supervisor in the day to day food service operation at the State Veterans' Nursing Home.
Ensures that food is stored, prepared, distributed and served under sanitary conditions.
Ensures compliance with state and facility safety procedures in the operation of food production and cleaning of equipment.
Ensures that clean and sanitary conditions are maintained in all areas of the kitchen food preparation and serving lines.
Operates and maintains equipment used according to FDVA procedures.
Responsible for estimate food requirements, for the preparation and cooking of all types of hot and cold food items according to menu and approved recipes. Slices meats according to menu needs. Places food items on serving lines and keep serving line well stocked.
Attends in-service training classes and performs related duties assigned by supervisor.
This is an OPS (temporary) position.
