Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (Partial Remote)

NOT Open for Out-of-State Candidates

Palo Alto based organization seeks an accomplished, motivated, and energetic Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role which involves both in-person and remote work, with NO REMOTE ONLY option. Our ideal candidate presently resides in the Palo Alto area or is able to relocate.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee our financial processes, including end-to-end accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements.

  • Manage accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.

  • Evaluate financial operations to recommend best-practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently.

  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.

Key Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.

  • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations.

  • Experience with data analysis and the production of financial reports.

  • Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Excel, etc.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
